Soft bonding is a method of applying hair extensions which use no glues or fusion to apply. The results are a semi-soft bond which is very secure but, at the same time, gentle on the natural hairs to create an ideal result for wearing hair extensions in any hair; including thin hair, chemically treated hair, or hair that simply cannot handle the weight of glues and fusion and/or risk the potential damage of metal from links or clips.

Here is my first attempt at a short film. The music is by Trans-Siberian Orchestra, titled Christmas Canon.



“The Christmas Letter” was conceived and created in a 48 hour period of time in which I also wrapped presents, washed dishes, shopped for a few last minute Christmas gifts, showered and prepared for a family Christmas.

The film was inspired by a letter I received after a Christmas gathering with one of the sides of my family. The letter frustrated me. It was just a confirmation I still disappointed this elder. Nothing new. I have become accustomed to the word “disappointed”….

Being in pain most times causes us to lash out at others and cause even more pain. Once I identified this happening to me, and that the source was the letter I received, I wanted to find a way to stop it and channel my pain creatively. Thus this film, “The Christmas Letter”.

How it All Started: The Story Behind Tiffany Twist's Hair Extension Companies





In 2007, I started to experiment with ways to get my own hair extensions in. I was paying thousands each year and couldn't afford them any longer. In a period of time, about a year, I had formulated a natural and non-toxic mixture which used no glues or fusion, and was bonding my own hair extensions at home. I loved them so much, they were comfortable to wear and easy to both put in and remove.

Hair extensions are used to give the look that your own hair is longer and fuller than it really is. The extensions of hair (someone else's) can be tied in, sewn in, braided in, clipped in, glued in or fused into the natural hair.

Others started to ask about my method of wearing hair extensions and it was fun to show them how easily I could remove my bonded hair extensions without any chemicals or metal pliers typically needed to remove hair extensions. When my financial situation became worse and worse, I decided to test market the hair extensions. I had no business degree, no marketing experience, no internet training, nothing. So, this became a HUGE challenge! I had NO IDEA what I was in for! BUT, with a little persistence and drive and a lot, a lot of reading and learning, in 2008 I was able to get a website up and a home hair extension kit together. With a little word of mouth from my first customers, MY HAIR EXTENSION KITS DID SIX FIGURE SALES WITHIN 13 MONTHS!

In 2010, we began marketing the wholesale hair extension products to stylists and salons. During that time a few stylists were trained and are using the hair extension products however, we are not offering further training and wholesale products sales as of now.

In 2012, we opened Tiffany Twist's WEST COAST HAIR®, our first hair extension studio in Minneapolis. This offers the service of applying the hair extensions via a professional, trained hair extension specialist.
